Jacks Eye

So a comment I made in the last post probably needs some clarification. Jack doesn't have a bad eye. He actually has whats called Ptosis in his left eye. It is a deformity in the eyelid muscle that causes it to look lazy or partially closed. We have been to a specialist about it which is where we got the diagnosis. They will do a minor operation on the eyelid when Jack is about 5 or 6 years old. They will only operate sooner if it becomes a problem for him. We have to take him in to the specialist every 4 months to have his eye checked. The doctor said that their is a slight chance that Jack will grow out of it, but she also said that it is unlikely because of how pronounced it is. We asked her about some type pf physical therapy and she said that because the muscle is not weak it is deformed that no amount of therapy will help. So we will wait and see if he does grow out of it and if he doesn't we already decided that we would do the surgery. Now when I refer to Jacks bad eye this is what I mean.

Wow, I've never heard of that. Does it affect his ability to see?

We have a smart cookie. He used to look at us by tilting his head back so he could see under the lid. Now he has figured out that he can see better if he lifts his brow. so far it is not affecting his vision. That could change though, that's why we have to take him to the specialist ever 4 months.
